I've begun the addiction! I acquired my chams on Craig's List, all four with all setups. Crazy huh? I found this site and was really excited for my new journey but the more I read the more I realized there was so much to learn.
Thankfully I was contacted by very experienced chameleon owners in my area and they offered to help me out. Four is way too many of any animal if you don't know what you're doing, in my opinion. (but of course, being my blog, this will all be my opinion I guess)
I asked them to take the females as I was really freaked out when I learned of their nesting, egg retention, ugh I was so worried I would screw that up and kill the girls. As it was I could already tell that none of the chameleons were in tip-top shape. Swyft looks the best, I think, he's my Panther.
I now have Swyft and Jolly. Jolly's been estimated at 1.5 years, if the owner told me his age I don't recall it. Swyft's dob was listed on his cage, he's a year and a few months old.
Tomorrow I will start my updates on them. Thanks for the blog access! I am hoping if any of you see something I've written that is terribly wrong, dangerous, stupid, you will point it out so I can do right by these guys.
