My first blog here yeeh. I have seen many members wondering how to cup feed chameleons succesfully. Well, I'll share what I ave been using for a while in a very effective way. Here it goes. I use clear plastic carrot juice bottles, like the one in the picture below. Try to look for this brand (it's a US product available in Canada in walmart, loblaws and sobey's). The reason I lie this specific bottle is because the shape make a perfect cup feeder. The top is wider thatn the bottom, so it covers it from water when spraying. Also it has a shape that it's easy to cut.
The images are very self explanatory:
1. Cut the bottle with scissors, make sure you leave at least 2.5 inches at the bottom uncut, so insects can't climb up
2. Poke holes around the bottom of the bottle so it can drain easily. (I have an automatic mister).
3. Sand a little bit ONLY the back wall of the bottle so insects can climb and your chameleons can se them. (if you sand the sides, insects might be able to scape)
4. You can poke a couple of holes at the top of the back wall and use a tiny plastic fastener to hang it inside the cage.
Thats it, I hope you find it useful.
