I find your feeding logs very useful..
Do you think that a similar feeding schedule would work for an adult veiled?

(Sorry, I posted the same question in other of your blogs, and just found this was the newest one)

glad its useful to you! :)

yes, it would be a good rough guide for a vieled too. indeed, I now use much the same feeding schedule for my Veiled as for my panthers. Veiled may get a little extra, as he is bigger.

each animal is different in its size and activity level. its a good idea to keep an eye on its physical appearance (fat pads on head, tail shape) and weight, and adjust prey levels accordingly.

Great!!... my veiled does looks good... perfect shape..
I did increased the food intake for this summer, because last winter he wouldnt eat that much..
My temps were fine, I live in a fairly hot place, so.. cold weather is not a big concern, but still... temperature overall was a bit colder... So Im kind of getting him ready for winter this time... just in case
its great to have this as a reference! thanks a lot for sharing all this info, Ill follow your steps :)

How old is your panther? Mine is 7 months and eats much more but hes still growing so fast! At what age do you sugest restricting there food or will he just eat less? Hes already somtimes having a big food day then hardly anything the next but not consistently and sotimes leaves food I give him, I normaly feed once a day until he dosent seem so interested then maybe a meal or wax worm in the afternoon as a treet but only when im not at work

my chameleons were / are several different ages - but the log is of what adults (over 1 year) ate.

yes, they do tend to eat less as they get older. usually you dont need to restrict prey, although some (more often females) will overeat. what the fat pads
