A few people have asked me about the tables I used as cage stands, and asked for details about how they are built so here they are.
In these photos they were getting packed up to go to a new home, but I made sure to take photos before they were gone.
The idea was to use a sheet of PVC shower liner as a funnel, and was nailed from the sides of the table to the center hole, and it worked super well to move the water down to the drainage bucket.
The wood bars sat flush on that level around the inside of the table and held the cages suspended above the PVC, allowing water to fall from the cages onto the plastic with no obstruction.
Hope this gives someone ideas. These cages served me well for 2 years without rotting at all. A little bit of silicone around the drain hole, a little wood sealant around everything else and it worked like a charm.
