As this is my first Blog entry I will give some relevant background about who I am and the kind of chameleons I live with.
Personal Background:
Currently, I am a first year masters biology-student focusing on virology and infectious diseases (unfortunately, I am not studying ecology or herpetology, or 'chameleonology'). I hope I can help out if anyone has any questions regarding infectious diseases, as I have academic access to research databases. **With that said, if you have a health questions ALWAYS seek help from trained experienced professionals**. I'm just volunteering my researching capabilities.
My experience with Chameleons is not much (~1 year); but I find keeping chams. a fun hobby. So much fun that I'm joining a forum and posting a blog for them! Needless to say I find the hobby intellectually stimulating and rewarding.
I have found that the use of this blog to be very helpful for chameleon information (even better than some vets) and for that I want to contribute and help anyone else out there who may need some help.
Chameleons I Live With:
I just got a baby Veiled Chameleon, and my girl friend has a 1 year old Red/Blue-Bar Panther Chameleon.
I hope to have plenty of blog entries and contribute useful information to the Chameleon forum.
