First, measure out everything to make sure you have enough material. Then, realize you don't and return to Step 2.
Cut your first short and long piece. Now use these pieces to measure all the other pieces for consistency.
Because I used an L-shaped piece of PVC (and because Ferdinand is fancy like that), I decided to miter the corners. If you use flat stock, you can square the corners.
To miter the corners, place the piece in your miter box, clamp in place, and cut each end at a 45 degree angle sloping inward.
Then, cut your finger with the saw. (Note: Advanced practitioners may opt to eliminate this step).
Use the sanding block to smooth off the burrs at the saw-cut edge.
Dry-fit all the pieces together. If everything is correct, staple in place across the miter. Be very careful with the frame at this point - these staples are only temporary to get the mesh in place. They will not hold the frame together alone (oopsie!). We will reinforce the corners after the mesh is installed.
