My young veiled chameleon doesn't really have a specific sleeping pattern. He is like a human teen. Goes to bed whenever. Wakes up when he feels like it. When the lights go off, Camo might stay up for hours before going to sleep. The next morning, he must be fried, because the basking light has been on for thirty minutes, which is enough for it to get to 105 degrees Fahrenheit, and he is still asleep.
Camo is a neon green when he is asleep (he doesn't have his adult colors yet). that color seems to attract my dog, because she sits there and watches my cham sleep... Stalker... And she likes to chase down the occasional loose cricket. Every so often I find a half-eaten cricket on my carpet, or a wet pile of goo (guts) on the stairs. Closing camo's door won't help, because my dog can open doors..? Life is a disaster for me right now. If I get a lock, my dog will find a way to pick it...
