This is daily a log of what my ~2 month old veiled consumed in July 2013. He was typically given as much as he could eat within about 5 minutes, once or twice a day. Prey is listed in the order in which it was offered and eaten.
The cockroaches are small –medium size. The superworms are freshly molted sm- medium sized. Crickets are medium - almost full grown.
All prey is gutloaded except the wild caught moths, wild caught harvestmen. Only about half the butterworms were gutloaded. The wild caught grasshoppers were only kept overnight so didn’t eat much while captive.
Gutload this month has consisted primarily of dandelion leaves, carrot, mint leaves, fresh peas and pods, dry alfalfa, dry filbert tree leaves, dried raspberry and blackberry leaves, almonds, kelp powder, spirulina powder, squash seeds, brewers yeast, romaine, apple, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries. Plus small amounts of: cantaloupe, spinach, grape leaves, banana, plum, clover, walnuts, orange, watermelon, papaya, cooked yam.
Supplements, when used, are also listed. “50-50 mix” means I take a spoonful of Mineral-O (the vitamin free calcium and mineral powder made by Sticky Tongue Farms) and a roughly equal spoonful of vitamin supplement (Repashy Calcium Plus) and mix them together for dusting.

Given that all my previous years of experience have been with panthers, Id love to hear from other veiled owners if this seems a reasonable intake for his age!?
blog entry is getting too long so I'll use comments section for the remainder of this months prey intake diary.
