What a gorgeous boy! I just got my first Jackson at the weekend and can't wait till his horns grow! I have heard that Jacksons are calmer than some other species. Having said that, both my Veileds are quite accepting to handling when they feel like it!

Here is an update. He's doing great, loves to climb on my hand when I put it into the terrarium and he's not shy at all.

Hello,
i just read the previous comments and saw the pictures you added.
Does he have shedding problems?
I saw him having pieces of skin on his back and in his face in the older pictures.
You should really have an eye on this because bacteria and paracites may settle under rests of skin and he might even loose body parts if the dry skin strangulates them.

He was almost done with shedding when I got him (there was only a piece on his head and back) but it went off after a few days.

It's the first time now that he started shedding while I own him and it looks like it goes well

Sounds good :)
I´d love to see pics of his cage.
Make sure to keep humidity high while he´s sehdding but do not spray him directly because this may make the skin stick to his body so it´s harder for him to get rid of it.

Go to Walgreens and get yourself an Ultra-sonic cool mist humidifier. It will help witht the humidity issues and he will shed easier.

Hello, welcome to the forum :) Franko looks great! I love Jacksons but I've never kept one. Maybe next year.........

As far as i know those foggers are not suited for chams as they create such small drops of water that the cham can actually inhale them which then often causes illness.
Misting systems are better.

He's almost done with shedding (95%). I thought this takes much longer. The humidity is around 60%-70%

But they can't inhale water from a mist system? Water drops are water drops,...IF you use a cool mist humidifier, you just have to make sure that you have adequate ventilation. I've used one quite successfully with a very small group of baby Jacksons chameleons. I know what you mean-if they are used in a glass terrarium or a cage with less than adequate air flow, they can cause upper respiratory infections by creating moisture laden 'stagnant' air.

No that´s not what i meant to say.
Those foggers simply nebulize the water so the drops are very very tiny and the cham can inhale them into it´s lungs. The drops created by a mist system are way bigger and will not cause this problem.

Sleeping time

He was walking on my hand and I guess he noticed that there's already night outside...
Well I just had to take a picture :D
