I can't find the pics, but I once saw someone who had done something...kind of similar with a cage...not quite as nice as this and they added plexi but only about 1/3 of the cage height from the top down where the mister was. The, I guess, "canopy" of the plants and twigs came to about the halfway point of the plexied area. They'd said that the "canopy floor" helped hold the humidity in the area where the cham spent most of their basking time yet the open remaining cage allowed for airflow. But this is the internet, and you can't always believe what you read on the internet. It does raise the possibility of experimenting with it seeing as a totally plexied up enclosure is a bad thing.
@WilcoxAE Yeah I think I will put some plexi at least the back side, probably around the top edges. Haven't started to play with that yet. I do think It will help with controlling over-mist and maintaining humidity.
I have a large dog kennel w screen zip tied on all sides. I got 2 big bins side by side a filled one w clean dirt/sand combo. The other one is empty. I took bolt cutters and cut out everything on the dirt side. I hung a couple live allowable plants and zip tied alot of vines going everywhere. I put the cage on top of the bins and i drip water a few times a day right thru to the empty bin and syphon it out every evening. Then the, lights water jug, etc on the top. For the humidity (and privacy when trying to find a spot to put her eggs), I hung thick 100% cotton towels on 3 sides. Holds the humidity, I can wash them and they allow air in. They work on all my cages.
