Hi! I'm Bridgit. I am a new cham owner. I have had dry climate reptiles in the past and always loved them. I took one look at a baby veiled in the pet store and completely fell in love!! At first I tried to just bring one home (haha), but quickly learned it wasn't that easy. So I reconsidered for a moment because maybe it was too much for me being mom of four boys and having a mini zoo already, but then became obsessed with the idea of having my own chameleon. So for several months I read up on them, how to care for them, how to do everything! I knew quite a bit but about a different species so I had to learn. I built him an enclosure. One big enough for a full grown boy and partitioned it off for the baby stage. I bought him all the vines, branches and equipment. I set up his home and learned as much as I could. Then I ordered him and I couldn't wait!! I was very specific and knew exactly which one I wanted. It felt good to say that I had his home and everything he needed already waiting for him. Finally, a couple weeks later he came. I was so excited and I am in love with my little padawan!! I have been learning on the go how he likes to be cared for and honestly, Chameleon Forums has been such a help to me. I have researched and found that usually any question I have, an answer is already waiting for me there. It is such a help and comfort to know there is good information for me when i need it! He is the gorgeous boy in my profile pic and his name is Anakin. Sometimes Ani for short, or baby Vader, whichever mood I am in. Thank you all for being a wonderful support system for us!
