Lets start with how I ended up here...
I have three dogs so I am at the Pet store pretty frequently. I have to walk past the reptile area to get to the dog area and for whole month straight I stopped to visit a small green chameleon who sat waiting for a home. I walked up to the cage every time I went in, just to see if he found a home yet and even time I visited he was still there. I had a friend who had one before but other then that had no experience. On day I walked up to his cage and put my finger on the glass. He walked right over and tried to hitch a ride. I finally asked about him, how long he's been there? (can you believe he sat in a 10x10 for a month and a half) If I could hold him? (yes I did hold him) The keeper was saying how horrid their tempers were and explained this one was actually really nice. I held him and we bonded. Thats when I fell in love. I decided to go home (Without him) and do some research to see If I could take on the responsibility and if after researching, I still wanted him then I would return to purchase hime. And if he was gone it wasn't meant to be. When I returned he was waiting for me, so since Feb 7th 2017, I am the proud mother of Eugene the Veiled Chameleon.
