Is my veiled male or female?

I'm not the best on here but if you post a picture it'd be a lot easier to tell. You're starting to etch into that tricky territory, though, where if it's a female you're going to have to start dealing with egg laying. Post a picture and I'm sure someone will be able to help you out!

    Fixing the water?

I've seen lots of people talk about misting the chameleon, the plants, etc for humidity and to make sure the cham doesn't dehydrate.. When I was walking in the pet store they have some things to I guess neutralize the water for reptiles.. What is everyone's opinion on this? I recently moved to...

    Digging Cham?

    Digging Cham?

I may try to remove one of the bulbs. It's 80 in there without the heat lamp on anyhow lol. I have 2 bulbs, I've read a lot of people seem to use tube lights but it seems like that would make the tank even hotter. I'm gonna try and figure out how to raise it tomorrow when I'm back in Pensacola...

    Digging Cham?

So ideally what should her basking temp be? From what I'd understood it should be around 80. I guess try to raise the lamp up higher? It seems like it'll be tricky to try and create that much of a temperature gradient during the day.

    Digging Cham?

Lol I know what gutloading is, I can't say I have much experience with chameleons, but I do in general with reptiles. "Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders? -Typically crickets. I threw in some strawberries which...

    Digging Cham?

It can't be the mealworms, I put in 6 and trust me, she didn't touch any. Sorry, meant to say without d3, I'm trying to type all this on my phone. The other two questions I'm pretty sure I answered, not trying to be rude, but.. I'm on my phone and packing so my fingers are getting slightly tired.

    Digging Cham?

I have a really little Cham, she's at oldest 8 weeks as is only about 2" long. For some reason, though, she keeps going to the bottom of her cafe and tries to dig I know it'd be normal if she was older to lay eggs, but she's literally a baby. :/ any ideas why she would be doing this? She does it...

Exo Terra Compact Top Lighting Issue

All the bulbs get hot, but I was wondering if either the bulbs or the hood were built so maybe they cooled down before they turned off like neon signs? It'd be a surprise to me but I wasn't sure if they had a cool down system before they turned off or not. Who knows, I think I just got a...

Exo Terra Compact Top Lighting Issue

So a few days ago I went to the pet store and I got an Exo Terra light hood because I'd read such good things about them online. On the one side it has space for two lights and on the opposite side it has a single spot which looks like it's for the heat light. What's weird is it has 2 switches...

    Wet substrate?

Thanks, guys! I liked the substrate because they had the chameleons in there from where I got it. I guess I should clarify it's not small at all.. The pieces are her size if not bigger! If it could be a problem with her I'll take it out but so far so good. I will cut back on the water usage...

    Wet substrate?

Okay, thanks. Also I've read the figues everyone posts on here. Right now her home is 82-85 degrees Farenheit (I live in south florida) and her humidity is almost 80%. From what I've read on here that seems to be higher than most.. But right now she's hanging on the top of her cage and has...

    Wet substrate?

Hi all, this is my first post. I always had a bearded dragon or some sort of snake, I have to admit that having a chameleon is a whole different sort of reptile! I did a few weeks worth of research (I'm a marine bio major and have made the mistake of getting in over my head with animals before...
