If my Jackson's chameleon is just sitting in his basking spot for extended periods of time, is that a bad thing? I use a 50 watt bulb and the temperature under the lamp is low 80's like its suppose to be. Maybe she just likes the warmth. Idk
What anti-bacterial cleaner do you use to clean the mister? Why wipe the areas cleaned with the reptile safe anti-bacterial cleaner with water after?
On another topic, I didn't know that Jackson chameleons live for 9 years. I thought all chameleons live 2? Is that true. Thanks man.
Thanks so much.
I was also wondering. I bought Peach at a local Pet store, maybe Petland, so.... do most chameleons coming from these stores have worms? Should I get de wormed?
Hi,
What do you use to sanitize your chameleons cage? I used anti-bacterial wipes on the bottom while my chameleons, Peach, was in a box. Then I wiped the bottom off with water.

Thanks so much guys. I got a 40 watt day bulb and I'm not going to use the 75 watt red night bulb; none at all.
Here is a picture of my new little girl. She's a female Jackson.
Hi. What is the ideal day/night temperature for a veiled? Also I have a big mesh cage. Is that alright to use for a baby as long there is a warm basking and sleeping spot? If not, why? Thanks!
I am selling a large chameleon mesh cage. Along with it: 2 basking lights with bulbs, 2 UVB lights (one that sits on top of the tank, and one stand-alone lamp for the side) with bulbs, 4 digital hydrometers/thermostats (best rated one on amazon.com), 3 chameleon safe live plants, a humidifier...
7-month old Veiled for Adoption
I have a 7-month old veiled female named Remy (didn't know it was a female when I named her) up for adoption. She has had a very good home but I'm moving to Queens in soon and not bringing her.
She has bacterial/fungal infection on the rear of her back...
I noticed this a few days ago on her skin. She about 6 months old. It is on both sides of her body and it has been spreading. She has started scratching it. Do you know what this is and what I should do? thanks.
It's about a 6 month old female. She actually just stopped growing about 3-4 weeks ago. She has been offered crickets and meal worms. Usually likes both.
