nah they huff all the time. Mine does it if i just turn on the light when its dark in the room.
Also gotta remember than lizards have two choices, use front legs, or breath. So if its a huff after a long crawl, its just him catching wind back.
Chams seem to stay at one level during the day, so a long cage wouldnt be an issue. Some folks also put in towels etc that are washable for geriatric chams that tend to fall.
Worthless for a gut load.
Can be entertaining for geckos/anoles. Most of my buddies give them "treats" of jelly or peach baby food. These things are just easy to clean up sugar water.
I wouldnt touch it. Personally id just keep it as dry as possible. If you keep it moist and not bandaged, well hes just walking around on sticks and even through it own poo. Its better to slow heal with a sealed dry scab vs fast heal moist with the possibility of infection.
halogen and incandescent are interchangeable. "halogen cycle" bulbs just last longer and have a bit better color, and are normally directional (flood).
Soon all of us are going to be buying small IR blasters.
It hasnt mushroomed yet.
If its a "little brown mushroom" get rid of it. Since it could be anything from yum yum to dumb dumb.
Else post some pics and tag me once they open.
Im guessing its not a BSFL...
Happened all the time with my green banana roaches. There was lots of "things" in there that were green and had six legs, that the family put in thinking it was an escapee.
Hes 14 pounds of fun(red tegu). Also this will be the last shot/meal before he beds down for winter and then wakes up around easter. I just took him out this week because its unseasonably warm, as in 85 in ohio in october :p
Thats what i do. I got 3-4 reptile folk. Gotta new turtle and want to verify the setup and a check up of the rest of the tanks, 20 bucks. Pays for itself in one trip cuz now you know you dont have to replace the bulbs for at least another six months :)
At that price point you might as well just get one of the $35-50 ones from amazon that are only +-.1 less accurate than the solar meter. You only need to get it in the ballpark of 3.0 at the basking spot on the high side. The cham would be fine at even 1.0-1.5, which is what the bulb will be...
Hey on this side of the pond they are even gunning for our ceiling fans lol.
Lets hope the UVB LEDS get going soon. They already have a few out, but none from reptile bulb marketers such as arcadia or zoomed.
I still dont understand the whole bulb ban. If grandpa wants to run a 150 watt...
