I’ve had horrible luck with chow. I might see if there is a way to grow a tree here.

I wondered that, maybe it’s part of her receptive color and pattern, though it does look a little puffy during the day. I’ll keep an eye on it.

I got a picture of her vent while sleeping and it doesn’t look black or swollen but now that she’s waking up it’s turning darker again. Thoughts? @kinyonga @MissSkittles @Beman

Her poo and urate are well formed and healthy looking I think but I suppose they could still be hard to pass?? I’ll try to take a pic next time.

Here are some older pictures, it’s hard to get a good look at the vent in these but I agree it looks off if I compare.

I don’t know if her vent has always been this color because when I got her she was darker unless she is sleeping and they ways she sleeps you can’t see the vent. She’s only been lighter for a week and a half maybe and only showing these yellows/golds for the past several days.

I have had a hard time keeping the basking temp up to 79 but having it never get slightly above 80. Any suggestions? I will add a second dose of the LoD each month. I’ll measure basking distance when she’s not on it. She is feisty right now. I’ll see if I can get a better pic of her vent.

Thank you, this helps. She has plants surrounding her lay bin. I may still add a sheet though. Yes the misting is to keep humidity up. I was doing 2 min and reduced it because it was soaking everything like a full rain. I may add an evening before lights out dripper and maybe increase the...

How many different types and which types do you provide in a week or month. We just got dubias so I could add those if it helps at all.

I’m pretty sure my female veiled is receptive. I’m wondering what changes if anything at this stage. She is not plump but has been exploring more of her enclosure the past week and going to her lay bin frequently though that is where she goes to the bathroom too. Her colors have been vibrant...

    Bio active lay bin?

Mine stays fairly moist between misting and watering plants that sit above it. Maybe too moist for a good bioactive? I need to do a lot more learning before trying it out but if I do I’ll share how it’s going.
