I took my first chameleon to oregon with me. it was a 6 hour drive and then a two week stay. i just took his entire cage with us and he stayed in his cage on my lap during the car ride. he didnt get stressed at all just make sure the cage stays warm on the car ride over.

Apollo shows crimson/dark purple bars (hes young and if male a late bloomer so hes only tan and orange) would this indicate he is male?

i know he/she doesn't have a mirror anywhere near his/her free range i just want to know if a female would because i know Apollo does and if females don't then he definitely is a male

thanks brad the only reason i worry is because i look at pics of males his age and they all have some sort of green or blue whether it be bars or their background color and apollo (my cham) just has the same coloration ive seen in picks of females.

same here Every chameleon i have ever had does this when i mist them so im pretty sure its ok i have no idea why they do it though haha it looks really funny when my baby panther does it.
