Great advice on the roaches, thank you! I also have a cup feeder (see picture attached). I will be placing a stick right up next to it so he can reach them. If he doesn’t eat them from the feeder my vet said I can continue force feeding until he does so
To clarify, he thinks lack of calcium contributed to the tongue problem as well so I will be giving him oral calcium medicine again once a day including an alternating multivitamin schedule. Happy to report that the vet said he looks good overall and no bone deformations :)
Hello, yes I will be providing him with additional supplement: repashy calcium plus LoD and repashy vitamin A plus to alternate according to the schedule my vet gave me. My vet says he prefers for them to make their own D3 but I can provide d3 supplements about twice a month or so
Thanks! I currently have the t10 with a 10.0 - do you think that will work as well? It’s going through mesh so I’d figure to go with the more powerful bulb. I also ordered repashy calcium plus LoD and repashy vitamin A plus to alternate according to the schedule my vet gave me
Hi Linda, thank you. The vet gave me similar advice. :) an update on AJ, he is doing well but unable to shoot his tongue. I took him to the vet today and my vet gave me calcium meds and directions to increase his vitamin a. The vet also gave him a multi vitamin shot to jump start his healing...

Hi all,
My chameleon is not able to shoot his tongue out more than an inch, so he has a vet appointment tomorrow.

He did not have UVB the first 6 weeks so I think he’s recovering from a mild form of MBD...
Hi all,
my chameleon is recovering from MBD and I have been force feeding him as his tongue can only go out an inch or two. Since I’ve been feeding him by this method so often lately I’ve developed a method that I’d like to get your opinion on. I open his mouth by force carefully the normal...
Hi all,
I recently noticed the cask on my male veiled chameleons getting darker, he is between 10-14 months. Do you think this is a UVA/UVB burn or normal? FYI my 10.0 reptisun through mesh was only about 3-4 inches away by mistake, I’ve moved it to 6-8 inches away. FYI he looks tired in these...
Miss Skittles thank you so much for your help! I have the T8 and it’s about a foot from perch. Too high or two low?
today I force fed him 3-4 crickets and 6 medium Dubai’s or sow. It was a stressful experience for both of us but I’m glad he finally got some food in his belly. Planning on taking...
