We got our baby Sambava panther today! He ate 7 crickets. Four of the crickets he ate out of my husband's hand. He has been exploring his cage all day. Got him from Kammerflage. Here is a picture...he didn't like my cell phone very much. I will post more pics later. :)

The smell should go away. Ours smelled at first too then the smell went away. We have ZooMed screen enclosure. :)

It is a 16 x 16 x 30 cage.

I got a 75 watt basking bulb with a deluxe porcelain clamp lamp and of course a zoomed 5.0 uvb bulb in preparation for a baby panther I am getting in a week. Anyways the 75 watt bulb seems very hot next to the screen. Do I need to get the lamp stand? It came with a clamp but cannot really...

Should I put large rocks on top of the dirt of the ficus tree that is in the cage? I don't want my cham eating a cricket off the dirt and getting dirt in his mouth. Also the leaves on the ficus are turning yellow and some are falling off. How do I fix this? Will the lights help the tree...

I got the light supplies. They didn't have a 60 watt so I got a 75 watt basking bulb with a zoomed ceramic lamp clamp fixture. :)

If the UVB reptisun bulb fixture extends off the cage a bit is that okay?
