I love my boys, but I don't find cham keeping addictive. I'm looking at potential panthers but I haven't decided. I keep 2 at this point, and I'm happy with them.

I use UBV10 long fluorescent bulbs with my veiled and my jacksonii and they both seem to work well. Both of my chams are thriving. I guess it's a matter of taste for the keeper. I have read that UVB5 bulbs are the best, yet my boys are doing very well under the 10s I use. Just a thought.

I would think the best time to feed him is after he/she has had sufficient time to warm up during the day. Maybe 3-4 hours after your lights come on. My chams are on my night owl schedule (2pm to 2am) and they eat very well. I feed both during the course of my day and neither had trouble...

I agree with budcham. It sounds like he's adapting to his new enclosure. It can be a few days before a chameleon will adapt to his new environment. If you're not seeing any drinking or eating action after 3 days or so, I would be more concerned. Just something to look out for.
