Sorry to start another thread and not go right to the sticky, but I didn't see all of these on the database and was thinking my questions would get more attention if they were in their own thread. I'm in the planning stages for a free range green house a few years down the road, and the plants...
+1 to what Andee said. NO CEDAR!!!! I have spent over 200 dollars in friggin vet bills because of sinus infections from cedar chips. For the record, if any sinus infections ever occur with these little guys they get a red discharge from their nose and eyes. It's not blood, don't panic...
Thanks for all the replies, everyone!
I don't have a cham yet and wont for a few years, but I will be getting a male panther. After these years of study that I'll be putting in before taking the plunge, I'll feel a lot more comfortable getting one of those insane colored, pretty expensive...
Just a thought I had. I think it would be really neat to attempt breeding someday, but I don't think I ever want to own a female due to the constant infertile egg thing. I plan on having a freerange greenhouse, and I think the gravid thing would just be annoying. Another thing too, I think...
She may be some very sneaky snake food that escaped. I've had four rats in my life (all female, big differences) and they are wonderful pets! Hate to say it, but you'll probably love and keep her... lol
My last two ate whatever we ate for dinner. They were my little garbage disposals. This...
I'm in the process of just studying and learning, I don't have a cham and wont for many years to come still. However, I was wondering if there are any known fungi that are safe/toxic to chameleons? I think they can be pretty neat looking growing up the side of a tree trunk and what not.
Never heard of that term before, thank you! *off to google*
I finished up a full drawing of my idea but I think I"ll just have to draw it out on PS more. However, that might change after this most recent suggestion. ;]
Thanks for all the input, everyone! You guys will probably see this thread archived and brought back a few times in the next few years while I tinker with more "full" ideas. Drawing that little pond diagram was a pain on PS, so if I can find a scanner I'll sketch up the full inside of the...
I don't own a chameleon yet, so take what I'm saying here with that in mind. However, my true passion is saltwater fish tanks, and they are probably the most sensitive things I've ever seen. I've done about eight years of research on these systems and still learn new things every day, but I...
Wish I could show pictures, but not for a few years. This project is a long ways away, but I'm a compulsive planner. It irratates my boyfriend, but it means that by the time I start something (or get an animal) I am no longer a noob. lol
Here, I photoshopped this for ya. This would be the...
Why thank you! I do need to point out that the graphic design of the 3D greenhouse was not my own, but I will be copying it almost exactly. I should have mentioned, but the area where shelving units meets the pond will be covering the water and actually hiding my filter system. That part...
Hello CF! This is my first post on this forum, and even though I am a beginner I thought I'd hang out on the freerange fourm because of the greenhouse plan I'd like to put into play. Also, you'll soon learn I type a lot, but I try to bold important things to be less annoying.
Currently I am a...
