    New Chameleon

I second that. There is an enclosure thread which should be great for inspiration. As far as feeders go, I purchase all of my feeders, except maybe a superworm or two, online. its easier and way better value than in a pet store.

Is he growing? Should I be worried?

Second that. He so young, you really cant overfeed him at that age. Give him as many feeder as he will eat.

What can I feed to increase protein?

    Sounds good enough for me!

What can I feed to increase protein?

Most insects have comparable protein content to red meat. Its why everyone is saying they are the food source of the future along with their inherent sustainability. I'm not a scientist, but I did stay at a holiday in express last night...

What can I feed to increase protein?

Enjoy! Those are obviously two different analyses and have two different results, but may still be helpful.

    Lighting Questions

Arcadia are great lights. I have used both them and reptisun and while I have not real problem with reptisun I feel like my cham prefers the arcadia (Scientific I know!). As for their UVB output, its very similar to reptisun. The numbers are the percentage of the light that is in the UVB...

Rescued Sambava Panther, humbly requesting recovery guidance.

He's def looking way better. Keep up the good work. as for the humidity, I wouldn't worry too much as 55-60 is enough, but the easiest way to raise the humidity of the enclosure is to raise the humidity of the room. You can just use a humidifier, but I also just boil a pot of water. My chams...

Chameleons not making good pets?!! What!?!

Hate to be "that guy" but it seems like a few have jumped on this already. Attributing what your animal, no matter the species, is thinking is an incorrect way to perceive their behavior. Its going to come off as cold, but its the truth, we have no true idea what an animal "likes" and...

How long can a 10 month old chameleon go without eating?

new owner...temp and humidity are not where they should be, dont know why..

So its a Mercury Vapor Bulb? and you cant keep it hot enough? how far away is it? You're probably the first person I've heard that has a problem getting an enclosure warm enough with an MVB.

Anybody know how to get in touch with Mistking?

Yeah that's the easiest way. Marty will email you back I'm sure of it. he's pretty reachable, and helpful, I just imagine they are either closed for the holidays, or extremely busy because of the holidays. Remember they are in Canada and they have boxing day and all that other stuff we don't (y)

    Leif the cross locale panther

You should consider your own scale, they can be very inexpensive. I like keeping my Tormund baby's weight, because the man himself is so big. Its funny you say he is so sweet. My dude is the same, but Tormund is apparently a firecracker.

    Chameleon not eating....

I've got a stab in the dark. Do you think he's been eating something else in his cage. Could be anything really, but the front of his mouth looks a little worn down, and I've had something similar happen until I covered the cork panel in my enclosure. He sure is a looker though, hope you find...
