He's always this color when he's up there...night time he turns light green. I did just swap my zoo med starter kit bulb to this one...but is the weird noise normal? And this is what he looks like after finding his bed for the night
Is this abnormal color for a baby veiled? He was also making weird noises, quiet ones, looked like he was trying to eat a cricket and there was a weird noise but there was no cricket in that area...there's no discharge or bubbles from his nose or mouth. Poop is brown, and urate is white...
I also turn the lights off completely after 12 hours. So he gets 12 during the day with light 12 without. He definitely lets me know when he's done with the lights and crawls half way down his cage and hides in leafs to sleep and is bright green when he sleeps
Thank you! I assumed he was just basking as he's been eating a lot and roaming the first few days. I was hoping he had "adjusted" enough to feel comfortable to bask. He still hides from me when I open the cage to most or feed but I let him be and talk. I don't want to handle him until he's...
Ok, thank you! We plan to build a larger cage when he needs it in a few months and upgrade the lights then. I was told the lights needed to be the specific one the person said asap, and made a priority over inside decorations or he will die soon. I freaked out
new owner to a baby veiled. We started with the zoo med kit and added other things inside and a drip system as well. He was doing great the first two nights, then just sat up by the light not moving much. (I had put tinfoil on two sides prior to him starting that, and removed it the next day...)...
We also are a new baby veiled chameleon owner! Can someone please help me...
We purchased the zoo med started kit and added tons of extras inside with a drip system and all. Are the lights that come with this kit ok?
