Thanks a lot, I really appreciate that, I had read that Arcadia provide some of the best quality UV apparatus. As for stuff in my area, my recent research has turned up very little in terms of Arcadia products outside of the bulbs; canopies and light fittings have been practically nonexistent...
I'm also finding this thread pretty useful, I've also purchased a Reptibreeze XL and now I'm just trying to decide on lighting and heating options. It's frustrating as hell deciding on what to get, I'm currently playing with the idea of buying an Arcadia D3 24W 12% Canopy for mine, but then I...
Thanks a lot, I had heard good things about Acadia's products, can you give me the names of the specific items you chose? Because it's so easy to get confused with such a large variety of items to choose from and which're all so similarly named.
In regards to keeping the humidity and...
Something a little larger than a cup would be better, maybe even a deep tupperware container and also a few pieces of cut up egg carton for them to "nest" on, which also make it easier to extract them from the container at feeding times.
I'll bare that in mind, but I'm living in France right now. I can obtain items from UK, having them delivered to a family member's address, but I don't know when I'll next be going over and if I'd get them by the time I want to put my chameleon into the new viv.
I'm planning on moving my young male veiled from his current enclosure to an XL Reptibreeze screen viv in about a month or so when he's big enough, so obviously I've been collecting the necessary materials for the change over. However the lighting situation is what is causing me the most...
You may be lucky enough to have one that's happy to hand-feed a little, but judging from the size of your flexarium in the other thread presenting the food to her somehow might be a wise decision for a little while. I don't know if chameleons can become dependent on such methods of feeding, but...
Have you tried looking/ordering a smaller enclosure online? It looks pretty big for such a small chameleon, you'll want to closely monitor her eating because if it's too big the feeders may easily be able to evade your chameleon, especially if the crickets can see her coming due to lack of...
Visiting reptile shows would be awesome, I used to visit several back in the UK because I managed a reptile centre there before moving back to France, so we always attended a few each year.
I'll consider offering him dubias when he's a little bigger, but right now if I tried breeding them my...
Merci bien, the place I buy my food from does stock locusts, but they don't sell them smaller than adult phase, so they're way too big for my little veiled at the moment unfortunately, I much preferred locusts to crickets with my old chameleons. It's frustrating that they stock such a narrow...
Howdy all, I've been out of the chameleon-keeping community for some years now after having to sell my previous pair due to low funds, much to my disappointment. Anyway, I'm living in France now and am the proud owner of an almost four-month-old male veiled chameleon named Ziggy, and I've been...
When a female veiled is ready to mate she'll usually turn a very light lime green all over with clear, bright flecks of yellow/orange along with flecks of turquoise. Chances are that by the time she's ready to mate and is showing these colours she'll already be holding eggs so she'll be quite...
I work in a reptile centre so i'm around these things most hours of the day and i discovered, with the ones in the centre, that it's best to start with their favourite foods, like wax worms (because they're really sweet to them), after trying it out for long enough on the ones in the centre i...
