Is it normal for a Panther Chameleon to not use it's tongue when it doesn't have to?

No if he has to use it he will use it. As when I free range feeders.. But he doesn't use his tongue when they're in his feeder cup/ledge. He just goes and chomps them away.

Is it normal for a Panther Chameleon to not use it's tongue when it doesn't have to?

So I used to free range his food in his enclosure, he would hunt them down like a normal chameleon using his tongue. I bought that feeder from our sponsor, the magnetic one. Now he just goes up to his food in the feeder and grabs them with his mouth. But, when I hand feed or free range feed...

    mister question

I use diluted F10 and run it trough the hoses and nozzles. I only have 4 enclosures hooked up to mister. (Its a pain because I have to take everything off the enclosures) I run about a gallon, then I add 2 gallons of clean water and run it again to rinse it out. I do this about twice a year.

    What enclosure to get

From my experience , chameleons tend to use more horizontal space than vertical. I think 36 inches is more than enough space for a temp gradient. Also, I'm worried about the durability of a DragronStrand or Tamura enclosure, as they won't seem like they would last. I've never used any of the...
