While @Tackett idea is good... DO NOT USE THAT METHOD OF DRILLING THE GLASS.....
I did that with mine and it did not go smotth at while, luckily it was on the bottom of the tank so no one will see it...
Basically you need something on the other side of the glass to support the glass, otherwise...
@broderp
I'm confused, are you worried about the humidity too high?
or are you worried about the stagnant air?
If you are just worried about the stagnant air the fan on for 15 minutes every couple of hours will be fine. That should be enough to prevent a URI.
Do you have any pics of the...
Hey @broderp,
What humidity readings are you getting...
as long as there is no stagnant air I dont see the issue...
maybe turn on the fan for 5-10 before sleep.
be cautious though, as that means whatever temperature the air is outside of the enclosure will be pulled in.
I commented on what you want to do....
my full opinion...
build a terrarium to a decent size or buy one,....
use a mist king to water the chameleon
use a sun ray fixture from exo terra - provides UVB and heat...
Put in lots of foliage for the chameleon to hide...
put a 120V timer on the...
Can you make your own... yes... is it worth it?... time is money... I found my time better spent designing and building an aesthetically pleasing terrarium than trying to save $50 on a misting system that has been proven over and over and over again. Not to mention replacement parts are readily...
find my half done build thread here,
It doesnt explain everything but might give others ideas.

I am still working on mine and waiting for more plants to grow in, but yes I need more horizontal branches.
Can me found on itunes and at:

I am think of the coco husk (http://www.zoomalia.co.uk/pet-supplies/exo-terra-coco-husk-brick-tropical-terrarium-substrate-p-564.html), which is quite bulkier.
I used:

Get the brick as I find there arent as...
also dont use coco fibre, too many bigger chunks that the chameleon could accidentally eat and get impacted. Unless you want to sift through all the coco fibre. I used eco earth and it worked really well. no larger chucnks and look about the same... I then also added some moss to cover up areas...
If you sand or cut the spray foam you then need to find a way to seal it again, aka silicone. If you don't do this it doesn't look good and becomes a nasty breeding ground for bacteria. for an arch, I would shape some corrugated cardboard to shape. Silicone the pieces into place in the cage...
I would suggest the same as @jamest0o0 . Use two red solo cups or something and put the foam all the way around it and pull out the red solo cups if you want a tunnel... If you just want a bridge you would need something to support it other than just the foam. foam around the stick... Although...
You can use those mouse traps that have the sticky pads with some of the chameleon food...
Place two or three around the chameleons cage and where you keep the crickets... Should attract them right away..
