I'm sure this is largely true...but as breeders, keepers and animal advocates, why not make it available? Cannot place all the blame on ignorant people for wanting a beautiful cham when breeders, exporters, expert keepers haven't come together and created care sheets that are thorough enough to...
Of course research is necessary...but there should be thorough and precise care sheets that describe husbandry in its entirety for those that are dedicated to doing it right and will monitor them daily for issues and seek vet immediately. It's a mixed bag what you find online. For instance...
Recently joined a facebook group which Bill Strand has several care sheets available in the files. There one on respiratory infections along with a few others. I feel there is crucial info I learned after having my cham for 2 years...you want higher humidity at night when temps are low as it...
A while back I had issue with my panther closing his eye. Vet found nothing wrong so I came to you for advice. Want to thank all those that offered advice. Turns out I was given bad advice originally - using the repashy calcium plus with nearly every feeding, hence oversupplementing him. I...
I'm only using repashy, no other brands as before. Once I'm out of repashy I will do a few months with the reptivite and hertivite schedule along with vit a 1x month. Unless there is a better way. I use a mistking and do 15 minute cycles daily.
His feeders are dusted daily with repashy calcium plus. I have a feeding station and some get misted so they are not always dusted. I started the vitamin a drop on feeder 1x month. I bought the repashy vit a...used it 1x. Planned on using it 1x month. I was plan to switch up with the...
I posted prior to this "eye closed" and followed all the advice given. My panther has seen a vet and I have tried the vitamin a drop on a feeder 2xs. He is still closing the eye but eating and drinking as normal.
I'm not sure what to do. Vet said the eye was healthy and fecal was perfect...
I am reposting because nothing has worked. I took him to the vet who looked in the eye and said nothing was lodged and the eye was healthy, fecal tested and clear, did the vitamin A on a feeder, increased misting and even upgraded him to a larger enclosure. He eats, poops and drinks as usual...
Thanks, I absolutely adore him! His eye was isn't any worse. But still find him with it closed from time to time, not often. Doing the vit a drop on a cricket and hoping this clears it up for good.
