I am posting for sale my beloved Dr. Who - I bought from the Kammers in June as a 1 yr old proven breeder. He is amazing and gets the most incredible coloration when he fires up. Unfortunately I do not have a female for him and he is ready to breed and I think it would be a waste for him not to...
Necropsy photos link added...
So if you guys are not squeamish and would like to see the photos http://www.flickr.com/photos/beebeelb/?saved=1 I do think she died of Egg Yolk Peritonitis. She had some yellow egg like substance come out right when I made the first incision. Although I don't...
Does anyone have any ideas of what else I might try? Turns out my herp vet went on vacation and his replacement they said is not familiar with exotics. Honestly I trust the opinions of people who actually keep Chams over most vets. She is hanging on but very weak. Pooped a tiny bit of orange...
Well she made it through the night. Yes she has been getting long showers since I first noticed her eyes were sunken in. I have added a small lay box to the bottom of her cage. It's only a couple of inches deep so I hope it will at least be enough for her to show me that she wants to lay...
A hernia sounds like a good suspicion. I was never told by other breeders to keep the lay bin in there. I use a rather large tub so I'd have to do something smaller but if it is eggs would it be too late? She was never on the bottom digging around like my other female did.
I do have just...
yes vet asap... but I don't feel any eggs and she has not acted like she wanted to lay, so I never put her in the lay bin. She has been that size since I got her two mos ago. The bubble is soft and now is starting to form on her other side.
I don't see any injury showing and I did not see anything aggressive from him. The other female passed so quickly we never found out why. I literally brought her home one day and she was fine she ate and the next morning I could tell she was going down hill fast. Here is a video I was able to...
Yes it's been about 2 mos. Yes to breed ;) Like I said she had been doing well, eating and was seeming receptive. This bubble goes up and down when she breaths when I put pressure on the other side. Almost like a hold in her lung or something.
I have 6 panthers ranging from tiny to full grown. This girl seemed fine the other day so I put a male in with her. Took him out the next morning. Later that day I noticed her being lethargic and eyes slightly sunken in. (The last time I saw this look on a girls face she was dead the next...
Wow! I was just about to ask, how big is too big? That answers my question! I am so excited to build our ambanja a mansion to fit him too. Even though I think he'd rather just live with us ;)
I can't wait to join you guys! So would using a fridge style incubator from LLL be a bad idea? Should a wine cooler be used instead? I know they need cooler temps than desert species.
Hi Everyone,
I am somewhat new to actually owning Chameleons. I have been breeding animals all my life and am very active in bearded dragons. I love them because they are like puppy dogs. But Panthers are amazing works of art. I am the proud owner of Chuck G's Nightcrawler who is the...
I am curious what you guys think is the average length of time you can expect a male panther to mate for. I know most males lose their desire to mate but I am wondering what to expect to see. Thanks!
