live plants are good, just make sure you get the right ones. you cant go wrong with a ficus. and mix up the plants with artificial and real.

one last thought! i have found that if you use an enclosure with plenty of ventilation, such as a sweater box with screens put in on each side (just about a window that takes up half of the side) and same for the lid, then the number of dead crickets (from a group of 1,00) will only be around...
