    Claudia Is Full of Eggs

Thank you, all! She hasn't even showed signs of digging at all. I've made a few partially dug holes for her and she didn't even touch them (at least not at all when I checked in on the camera, which is about every 30 seconds lol). I feel so bad for her, being so big with eggs and sanctioned off...

    grumpy Chamelon

It sounds like you've got a chameleon. They aren't the best pet to have if you want a social animal that'll bond with you and your family. To the person that suggested a bearded dragon, I absolutely agree. That would be a much better choice if you and your kids are looking for a reptile that'll...

    Claudia Is Full of Eggs

Here I am with another question! Hope you all aren't sick of me yet lol. So, I put her in the laying bin/garbage can earlier this afternoon, maybe around 3pm. I had the camera on and checked in on her from time to time but she really didn't do anything at all but walk around on the bedding and...

    Cham sick with MBD

I'd definitely make a vet appointment ASAP just to get a confirmation. What is his lighting like? Could you fill out the how to ask for help form so we can get a better idea of husbandry? Also 12x12x24 seems awfully small for an 8 month old male. You might want to consider bumping up his cage...

    Claudia Is Full of Eggs

Thanks, everyone! I was able to get a picture of the XRay today when I went to pick up my debit card. It's attached below. I went and got a 20 gallon garbage can and a camera to set up so I can look in on her without disturbing her. I'm in the process of getting it all set up for her now and...

    Claudia Is Full of Eggs

Thank you so much, jannb. You've been a wealth of information leading up to this. Without you and this forum, I probably wouldn't have had a clue and ended up with a very sick little lady on my hands. I'm so glad there's a place like this to discuss our babies :)

    Claudia Is Full of Eggs

They looked oval to me. Unfortunately, I don't have the x-ray, it's still at the vet's office. I forgot my debit card there though so I have to go pick it up tomorrow, so I'll ask if there's any way I can take a quick picture of it so I can post it here.

    Claudia Is Full of Eggs

I was able to get a vet appointment this afternoon to have Claudia looked at. Her eating has stopped almost entirely and I was really getting worried. They looked her over, checked her weight (96g), listened to her breathing, looked for mouth rot, did a fecal check and determined that there was...

    Veiled Chameleon Problem

I was just going to ask the same question. It's hard to see in your pictures, but I'm not really noticing any sort of spurs on the back feet (could just be the picture though). Is there any way you can get a good picture of his/her back feet to confirm/deny the sex?

    A Little Morning Sun

The vet guesses she's anywhere between 6-8 months old. I watch her like a hawk when we do go outside, but today is the first day she's really seemed to enjoy herself, so usually we aren't on too long lol. I also have an outdoor cage set up for her that I haven't gotten to use much either but...

    A Little Morning Sun

Thanks, all! She really seemed to love it out there today, so I plan on doing the same tomorrow morning. Nothing like that natural UVB ;) I've also got her eating again. She just seems totally done with crickets, probably my fault for only giving her them for the last two months. Now I just...

    A Little Morning Sun

It's a beautiful day here in Cleveland (a rarity LOL), so I took Claudia out for some natural basking time. For the first time since I got her, she really seemed to enjoy herself! She wouldn't stay still on her hibiscus though, and preferred to walk around on the grass, which I happily allowed...

    Dragonstrand Laying Box

What does everyone think of this product? I love the idea of it, the thought of always having something right there at all times for my girl and eliminating the stress of moving her to a full laying cage (which is already set up for her), or possibly missing the signs with just the test bin...

Health Update on Kaiju the Veiled Cham :)

    Zilla Jungle Mix

I just use bed pads. I got a bag of 18 for about $5 at Walmart. I change it out weekly and it's a simple process of rolling up and throwing out the old one and placing the new one down. It also helps with humidity.

    Early stages of MBD-new owner

I don't have experience with MBD, but from a husbandry standpoint, the cage looks far too small. Is it a glass tank? They should be in a screened enclosure that's taller than it is wide, 18x18x36 at a minimum. Also, the substrate should be taken out. They could ingest it and it could cause...

    Eating Sand

Caught her in there again this morning having a sand-feast. And, this morning's poop was full of sand, so who knows just how much she's been eating lately. I guess it's a good sign that it's coming out and passing though, but it sure was alarming to see sandy poop like that. I went ahead and...

    Bugs!?!?!?!?

I always said I'd never do the roach thing, either. But, last night, I ordered some. They'll be here soon and I'll see how my cham likes them before I decide if I'll order more. I did also buy some tongs, cause I'm not quite sure I'll be touching them haha.
