New cham mommy...total wreck! Correct diet? Heat bulb at night? Wide awake? Help!!!!

There has been no talk on UVB light. This is a must. repti sun 5.0 stright bulbs are prefered. You can use reptisun coil bulbs but be carefull on how close the bulb is to the cage. Too close can blind them.

    Very sick veiled

She needs to hydrate for sure, maybe consider a nice long warm shower. also a small syringe with water, try and get some in her mouth. Also I would block the view of that snake, It would def stress me out to see a predator staring at me all day. Switch to straight calcium, the D3 she has been...

Saw these at a local pet store

If you could make the case that they are near death and need immediate attention and vet visit you might get away with adoption. When I had a reef tank up and running I would go to the petsmart and petco where you would see dying corals. They would just give them to me. Its worth a shot to...

UVB light cna i use this?

I do use a cfl and had issues when the fixture was too close to my cham's basking spot. I now keep it a little over a foot away and have not had any more issues. Just make sure to keep at a safe distance because they are very intense lights.

    Petco veiled chameleon?

Dont get too upset over the glass tank they were housed in. This is common with baby chams. even though they are green and active you still take the risk of them not settling in there new home, but thats the risk you take with any new cham. As long as you know how to care for them and are...

    Are they safe now? Compacts

If you use a CFL be sure that it is a safe distance away from your cham. I did have an issue where I set the fixture on top of his cage and almost blinded him. It took 2 weeks to recover from that. I still use one but I keep it off the cage about a foot.
