Probably a dual, I can fit a 24" diagonal, I have 25" of diagonal space so the fixture might hang over the edge.
I am using just basic window screen, so a 5.0 24" should be alright?
And yes I am using a basking light as well.
I am building an enclosure, I can fit 2x18" bulbs along the top, but nothing longer, would two 5.0's work or should I do one 10.0 and one 5.0 or what?
Enclosure is 45x24x20.
Alright, I have a few rolls of fiberglass tape I can use, so just line the inside with the tape? Can I paint over the tape so it doesn't look trashy?
I already cut the top off, the back off, and the windows in the sides, working on getting pictures tomorrow.
For drainage, I am placing a shelf about 4 inches from the bottom, I have a 20x18 pan that I will place in the bottom to collect water. There will be papertowels on the bottom, and holes drilled through the shelf for the water from the plant/dripper to drain into, or I might just let it drain...
I don't mist the wood, just the plant, I have a 3' ficus I am putting in it tomorrow, I am going to seal all the edges with silicon or something, and start misting it, give it a month and see how the wood looks.
If this doesn't work out it I can build a frame out of the 40+ 2x4's I have in...
The tank won't be soaked, just the occasional misting, and the dripper going.
These stands have held up for years, there is no exposed areas it's all sealed up, I think it should be fine?
I was considering cutting out the top too, can I use 1 18" bulb, or would say 2 12" bulbs work better? I am using my heat lamps and guages from my previous chameleon.
Both sides will be screen as well, it's comparable to many of the wood enclosures I have seen on here in terms of the amount...
I picked up a large audio tower from a friend, and it's perfect for a chameleon cage, but I have a few questions.
The dimensions of the inside are 45" Tall X 18" Deep x 24" Wide, would this be large enough for a male veiled? Overall it's about 7' tall with a large storage underneath.
The...
I am currently building a veiled enclosure, and I am wondering what I can do to make it cat proof? I am not sure if they will try to climb the cage or not.
Should I just rent a nice saw instead?
The saw I have is more like a hacksaw, but I have used it to cut 2x2 before with no problems just takes a few minutes.
I plan on getting one that is 3-4 months old, so how would that work?
I really like the blueish veiled at flchams right now, but color is not that important to me, I just want a veiled.
