How Do I Get My Chams Cage Hotter During Winter?

Most people struggle to achieve a sufficient drop in temperature at night for their chameleons, even in the winter. As long as the chameleon has a basking area it can reach where temperatures are into the 80s (doesn't need to be ambient temperature of the entire cage) it should be fine. At...

    New Panther Enclosure

Wow. I have not read a better nor more thorough explanation about 4000K vs. 5600/6000K anywhere on the internet. Thank you. You instantly changed my mind on the 4000Ks and made me feel alot better about having purchased 5600K. 29mm may be too strong for my needs, especially at 2+ amps. My Vero...

    Thoughts on Calluma boettgeri?

Hanging out on her favorite branch last night: Hopefully I can get some shots of her soon in her bright green/turquoise coloration.

    New Panther Enclosure

I'm already one step ahead of you :) I read your thread this morning (Korea time) while commuting to work. The ones you linked on Digi-key are made by a Korean company too, Seoul Semiconductor. Do you plan to purchase the 5000K version? I will probably will purchase some of these soon. They look...

    New Panther Enclosure

What I have is not Decor, but Vero, Decor Series. It seems there is a difference based on literature from Bridgelux. If you look at their strictly Decor series, they are almost all 97 CRI, but the Veros are typically lower, 70 or 80 CRI. This is exactly what I purchased from Digi-key...

    New Panther Enclosure

COB all the way! The ones in the photo are Bridgelux Decor Series Vero 18s, 5600K 90CRI. I have some similar Vero 13s on another enclosure. I may replace them soon with 4000K Veros. I wish I had gotten 4000K in the first place but when I purchased these about 4-5 years ago most people were...

    Lily's *NEW* Bioactive Build!

This looks like the beginnings of a fantastic Halloween decoration, complete with murder weapons. You just need to apply a bit of blood splatter. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

    Thoughts on Calluma boettgeri?

As feeders? I actually thought these would be way too big to feed my linotum (you also said "small isopods"). Keep in mind her snout to vent length is about 2 inches. To date she has only been fed fruit flies and juvenile crickets no larger than a quarter-inch.

    New Panther Enclosure

Recent photos of my male Mitsio's enclosure (I named him Lightning after Lightning McQueen from CARS - my son's favorite movie right now :ROFLMAO:) Had to replace a few plants as they were not doing well in the enclosure. I replaced the big Philodendron xanadu with a monstera, which I will...

    Thoughts on Calluma boettgeri?

I wonder if the problem could be due to nutrient deficiency. I just read the following on a website: Also, there is the persistent challenge of feeding. Areca palms are heavy feeders that can develop yellowing leaves in the absence of magnesium, iron, and trace elements. Though ultimately you...

    Thoughts on Calluma boettgeri?

Was incredibly busy with work the past month and didn't have time to post much but my C. linotum is doing great so far. I redesigned her enclosure with custom background, side and branches. Daytime temps reach about 26-27 degrees Celsius near the top of the enclosure. I placed the enclosure near...

    Lily's *NEW* Bioactive Build!

Sorry I didn’t reply sooner. Was middle of the night here in Korea. I bought something pretty much identical to this: http://m.sanhefoam.com/plastic-foam/close-cell-eva-foam-board.html I originally intended to use styrofoam boards for the sides but couldn’t find any that were thinner than 1...

    Lily's *NEW* Bioactive Build!

I used half-inch thick EVA foam board on the sides of my 36x18x36 Exo Terra enclosure to maximize horizontal space for my chameleon. A good PU foam job with varying depths and textures will look more natural but you can solve some of that by attaching cork rounds/flats, wood and other materials...

    Lily's *NEW* Bioactive Build!

I can’t wait to see the resulting “tree” and what you will cook up for the rest of this build. Based on your previous builds I have huuuuge expectations for this one. Don’t disappoint me!

    Lily's *NEW* Bioactive Build!

I love the unique shape of that cork piece. It will make an awesome centerpiece. Most of the cork rounds I find in shops are boring cylinders. How big is it?

    Help with large enclosure (2m x 1.5m x 2.5m)

I've been waiting years for these to be released but you aren't kidding about the "very expensive" part! https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/marktech-optoelectronics/MTSM295UV-F1120S/1125-1368-ND/6575164?_ga=2.195589737.45904888.1579315058-2066790138.1579315058 OP: I'm so jealous of the...
