I noticed that it looks like Perceval, my male panther chameleon has a spot on the front of his chin where a scale has pulled off. It doesn't seem to be causing him any issues at the moment as he's as active as normal and doesn't hesitate to eat, in fact the picture I've added is post superworm...
Of course, they delegate the dirty work to their butlers. He usually only gets that desperate when the misters are running and he can't remember that going down in the enclosure is the way to stay dry but I had to go to the office today so he didn't get any tree time though out the day.
The grid is latch hook grid (often called granny grating by model making folks) and the sides are 0.10" polystyrene. I originally was going to use the plastic from a 2-liter soda bottle, but my makeshift one was made from that and the poor little guy was trying to shoot bugs through the plastic
The screen ring fits inside the bottom of the frame. I stretched a piece of screen, cut about half an inch wider than the ring, over it and pushed into the bottom. Trim the excess after. Went with screen to keep it from retaining water.
