The one in the link (not promist) does not have a timer. That will cost you at least $20 (i got mine for $22 at Lowes i think). Im waiting on a couple pumps (should be here today!) and then ill do a full write up of my system. Should overall cost about $65, and be as good as the promist.

Anyways, i am in CA so scooter--where do you find the vet cards?
I was OUTRAGED while at petco today. While their fish department absolutely lacks in every way, such as keeping dead fish in the aquariums for the whole day and not having sand in their saltwater tanks (contains necessary bacteria), I was really there to look a the chameleons.
They have 3 2"...
So its been heating up here recently, and i want to know if its ok for me to keep my chameleons outside. It gets about 85 during the day, and down the around 65 at night. I have them in the shade, where they will get sun for part of the day, and have been misting every couple hours.

When breeding, do the offspring represent more of the mother or father in color, or is it a good mix? Reason im asking is my buddy has a male, me a female, however my female has way more color than his male ( i think his is from petco GASP!), i dont know if it would be worth it to get a colorful...
Im wondering for a veiled chameleon, is it really necessary to succumb it to a mesh cage? Im thinking a ficus tree, with a large plant tray to catch the droppings, no mesh cage, and for the crickets cup feed?
