i just might :) i have the one with the green/dark green stripey leaves and with the long red tips feather looking flower comingo ut of the middle. i read up on it and it said they can be found in warm rainforests so i'd imagine them to be okay *scratches head* i got a ficus too :)
that's good. i'm kinda nervous about trying to put stuff around his eye though and i dont think mine trusts me enough yet to go rubbing around his eye with q-tips. do you think just misting more could be efficient? i'd rather not stress him out. also, you really think that's what it is after...
well it wast really days in a row. but i think 4 or 5 times in 3 weeks is a big deal. i've never seen my other do that and i had her for about a year.. it happened in both of its eyes too
could you fill this out too btw?? i'd like to compare it with my own set up to see if maybe there's somethng in common.

The thing about mine is i didnt rinse out his eye because i heard theres a chance that the reason why its swelling is because theres water trapped behind the eye duct. i dont think thats actually whats wrong though. mine starting doing it on the way home from the shop too and had been doing it...
OMG!! that's exactly what my chameleon had!! i've been looking all over to see if anyone could figure out what was wrong but so far nobody has been able to help me. the swelling usually went down in less than 2 minutes though so i never had time to take a video. any help would be immensely...
oh i see. i didn't know they buried the eggs either. sorry guys, the question just popped in my head earlier and since i was already here i just figured i'd ask. a little knowledge doesnt hurt : ) thanks
woah i re-read what you wrote. i guess i'm more tired than i thought rofl
sorry about that. it could be luck of the draw like everyone's been saying but a small part of it coud be that it's male. given how long you've had it though it might just be in his personality.
i think veiled are a little easier to take care of. plus they get to be one of the bigger of the species i believe. the casque (veil) is pretty impressive too.
panther chameleons are typically the most vibrant though with the extreme colours
hmm... that's really interesting. i figured they'd keep a close eye on them until they hatched and not let anything get close to it. they're usually territorial and easily irritated so i'm surprised they arent as protective of their clutch
so would you guys say that a chameleon of 1 month is more likely to grow to like the owner with time than one at 4 or 5 months? would the latter aged chameleons be more likely to never like the owner?
i was just curious.. if after a chameleon lays its eggs. does it put up a fight to protect them (when the breeders take them and place them in insulators for safe keeping) or is it just more of a drop off and they don't really care about the eggs?
na. crickets typically leave the chams alone as long as you don't put in too many at a time. its good to leave food in there though if you're putting in a little more than usual. just try not to leave crickets in the cage during the night
from what i know, the crickets aim more the spine because the cham really has no way of getting it off there. the tail is also another place they go for, especially when it's night and the cham is asleep
