    Gaping Cham - asleep!?

Ok thanks i will look out for those. How would she contract an RI - out of interest? I have been keeping a lose eye on her recently anyway because i suspect she is gravid. I have noticed she is basking alot - but then the temps here have been cooler recently. And she has been quite...

    Gaping Cham - asleep!?

Hi all, I went in to my room today and my cham was gaping and asleep! Her light had been off for about half an hour. She had fallen asleep in her basking spot - which is odd - but she's abit restless at the mo so im not too worried about that. She is also receptive/possibly...

    Yemen Colour Change?

Hi All! What does a bright blue colour mean in a female Yemen? Kermy is lime green with dark green patches and spots but for the last few days she has also had bright blue stripes on her casque and on her back. Can anyone tell me what this colouration means? Thanks!

    Why is she doing this?

I cant really tell - as soon as i go in she hides. I have moved the light up a bit just to be safe - i have an infra red thermometer coming in a couple of days so ill double check with that. She looks a bright lime green colour when she does it. She is eating drinking and pooing fine...

    Why is she doing this?

She's a veiled cham. Could she be up there for the UV rather than heat then if she is too hot?

    Why is she doing this?

Hi all, Every day when i come home my cham (6 months old) is sat under her basking lamp with her mouth gaping. Surely if she is too hot she would just move? Her temp is 85 at her basking spot. Thanks :D

I have a metre coming (should be here in about a week) :D But i was just wondering why i would need to replace a Powersun after 6 months? Maybe the bulb/reptisun combo would be a bit longer lasting?

After much Blood, Sweat & Tears........

Hi all I have screened off the sides and back as she seemed to be hiding alot. Since the screening she is now pottering about as normal. Also, I have raised the bulb so it is now hanging about 10 - 12 inches above the basking spot depending on the room temp. Just a question - why will i...

Yeah it is a mercury vapour. When i bought it the guy in the shop showed me the UV with a UV meter and the levels from this brand were ok - much better than the exo terra death machine i was origionally sold (by someone else) It took me bloomin ages to find the plants! I must have gone to...

After much Blood, Sweat & Tears........

Nope not a coiled bulb so no problem there. I have those reptisun bulbs here for my snakes so if i notice any problems with the power sun i can always change it. She has had the powersun for around 6 months now and everything seems fine. Thanks for the advice. :D
