Just bring him up here to NH, or bring him to "the odd pet vet" in south weymouth and just say you are from NH ;) I brought my veiled there a long long time ago, that is when I found out it was illegal to own them. The vet there is very nice though and treats chameleons. That law is bogus anyway.
Well the house we put an offer on has a glass porch in the front I plant to make into a green house :D So He will be stylin'! I plan to put a screened addition on one of the windows so he can still get natural sun. If I don't do that, I have a plan B and I will put a screen cage on the outside...
Thanks :D Yeah I am SO busy, and my new prowling grounds is backyardchickens.com haha! I'm going to be breeding and have an egg in my incubator that's due to hatch on the 26th  Can't take the stress! I am so impatient :p
Hey there everyone from New Hampshire! Haven't been on in a long time, been dealing with Chicken stuff and buying a house stuff :D Just set up a new free range for Calais, he has been stuck in his cage all winter and he was NOT happy about it. So I bought him a new ficus tree and he seems to...
Thanks everyone :) and to mcbdz, he is an ambilobe/ nosy be cross. He is about 3 years old now, always been a bit of a runt though so maybe that's what makes him so sweet =)
Calais is looking good. Switched from using a supplement regimen to just repashy all-in-one, plus more of a gutload variety, he's looking very nice. These pictures don't do his colors justice.
Haven't been on in a long time, I took a trip to Arizona and boarded Calais at Dave's Dragons for the week. They took great care of him =) Gave him a shower this morning and took some pictures.
do not listen to petsmart. That is all the advice i can give you right now. There is nothing you can do until the vet checks him out but he will probably need surgery. Read up on these forums about proper husbandry so something like this doesn't happen again, petsmart will sell you anything they...
I tried housing a tokay with my male veiled. My veiled brutally mutilated the tokay. Poor thing was still alive with his upper jaw ripped off! I had to put it out of it's misery. It was out of the blue too, they had been living together for a week with no issues.
In the past there was a problem with the coils giving off the wrong levels of UV and causing blindness and death, but it has since been corrected. Toi stay safe I stick with the repti glo tube 5.0 but many people on here are starting to use the coils again with no problem.
All chameleons are different, no matter what the species. Jackson's chams tend to be more "social", but they are not as colorful as panthers and veileds. Carpet chameleons are nice but they are small and I don't really know their dispositions. Either way nothing is 100%. A veiled is the closest...
