No help?
So apparently I cant fix his eyes since no1 can help?
I have been feeding him baby food from a syringe when I hose his cage down outside and using a dripping system, when he starts to drink. I was afraid to give him additional vit A since the baby food contained it and I was...
Ok so now both eyes are staying closed. He hasnt pooped, I imagine its because he cant see his preferred pooping area. I cant feed him live insects due to him not being able to see. He is however, drinking water - but only if I set up a dripping system where the drips land on his head.
I...
I dont think he got the MBD from the D3, he got it because I reduced the amount of the supplement "Calcium + D3, Exo Terra" I was giving him, because it contained D3. I didnt want him to overdose on D3, due to me having him out in the natural sunlight for most of the day. The pet store didnt...
Ok, so my chameleon Yoda has been having eye problems for over a week and a half now, I took him to the vet with reptile/lizard experience at the practice and at home, a few days after I noticed 2 issues - a closed left eye and a prolapsed hemipene - unfortunately, work schedules and vet...
How did he pop it back into place?!
My chameleon has the same problem now :( I think he has a mild case of MBD we took him to the vets and all seems to be fine. We were told to increase his calcium and his feeders with high protein food to increase muscle mass and strengthen his bones. We...
Im just wondering how to know if a Veiled Chameleon is male or female. I've been searching and cant find any info on it.
Mine is male, but Im just curious ... just to be sure.
lol My one does it when he sees a bug outside his cage when hes outdoors...as he walks towards it.
I figured he was trying to blend in, but thought Id look it up to be sure.
He doesnt usually stand like that, never seen him do it before it was like he was trying to stop me from picking him up, I was wondering why ppl thought he has a calcium problem. I do need to get some powder for his crickets that doesnt contain D3 so he can get a daily dose of calcium.
Yes...
oh ok thanks again, I'll get a new fixture on my next shopping trip and not use the current one any more as he's outside during the day so its not really being used. :)
Thanks pure, my husband bought him and I have just recently taken on the care and even though I HAVE been searching for info, its all different as I dont want him to be suffering.
He has 2 lights a 50 watt basking light and a uvb 2.0 light - was wondering what is wrong with those? I have been looking up everything but everywhere has different advice.
I am looking for a larger cage - to one of your suggestions, I have been reading about temperatures and thought that temp was ok for vieled chameleons so will fix that but how am I supposed to fix things if I dont know what to replace my current errors with? A bit of info would be useful...
And no, I havent seen him fall bad enough to break a rib or even fall at all, here are a few more pics a little blurry, but hopefully u can see what I mean. Under his left arm on the middle of his chest
He has a heat lamp and a uvb lamp, uvb is an exoterra reptiglo 2.0 uvb coil bulb. They are both switched on in the mornings, no set time. The light from the window wakes him first lol
I put him outside in his cage when the sun is on the balcony about 2 hours of sun in the morning and about 3...
