I soaked the end in white vinegar and then wiped the hole branch down with it as well. Hopefully just raising it a few inches from the bottom will help it from coming back.
no conditioner used in the dripper i just use bottled Poland Spring water. Ive seen similar mold grow on fish food that didn't make it into my tank and sat on the rim for a few days. So maybe that's just the type of spores in my apt.
The tray itself is not full but the fron corner has a small pool in the corner from the dripper, and that just happens to be where the branch touches the bottom
Im not sure of the brand i went to Michelle craft store looking for dowel rods but they didnt have any but I found these branches that looked much better anyway. I did soak and scrub them just incase they were treated with any chemicals or bleached. Its just the two branches that contact the wet...
so I set up my enclosure exactly 1 week ago. And today I noticed 2 of the branches that are always in contact with the bottom tray has white cotton like mold of fungus growing on it. normally I would just throw them away but everything is still brand new. besides raising the sticks so they...
Ik theres a ton of guides but i still need some help. I have my 24x24 screen enclosure coming and i am looking to get a better light and fixture. Based on the guides and the cage i have coming I think i need a 10 or 12% but i am still so lost on which type between the desert, natural sunlight...
I do have a chameleon now he's in a 18x18x36 the 24x24 should be here tomorrow and the plexi glass shortly after. but in the last week ive used the fogger and woke up to a soaked floor. the next night i just misted again before i went to bed and the humidity stayed up in the 80s until lights on...
lol I'm doing some research on it now. so it looks like like with the humidity probe its just an on off to power so whatever fogger you use just needs to be able to power on automatically when plugged in?
I have a screen 2x2x4 coming in tomorrow and plan to cover the back and left side with plexi and put hinges on the right side so I can open or close it and leave the front screen. I don't want to just turn a fogger on and let it run all night like I did before and soak my floor again. I guess I...
I'm looking for a fogger that will work with probes but I see endless amounts of uses for a controller; dimming lights if it gets too hot, activating fans if its too hot/humid during specific time ranges. honestly I'm still very new to chameleons but already see a ton of use cases. I was not...
Rhis would be awesome but Im certainly not tech savy enough to do a setup like that i feel like an engineer just trying to right the command lines on the apex which is verry user friendly.
Im looking for something primarily with humidity probes i can use to control a fogger if its bellow a certain level between certain times. I have not heard of the herpstat but will look onto it. But a system like the apex could have a huge amount of uses for a chameleon enclosure.
Ive only had him since Saturday so im not concerned about him not eating much yet. And ok thank you, I was able manage getting out 99% of the crickets i did hear a chirp from his cage but cant seem to see the bugger even after misting and hoping it would go to the bottom.
When i brought him home from the expo he was verry upset and understandably so, he was at an expxo in a 12 inch cube and then stuffed into a paper bag for a 20 minute car ride home. And 20 minutes of trying to get him on a stick is when i decided to put the glove on and speed things up a bit. He...
