It looks like something stuck in the eye. If the long mistings don't wash it out a vet visit may be in order.

Post some pictures please. He could have an infection on that food. Try some Silver Sulfadiazine and if you don't see any improvement in a few days a vet visit may be needed.

That's basically what my vet would have me do along with an antibiotic when my chameleons had an RI.
