He is wc so I'm assuming he was gripped up from a branch and maybe that caused fracture. No X-rays were taken. Kinda strapped for cash at the moment. He barely moves . At this point I will continue to water him and hope he gets better. I dunno what else to do
No infusions but they said the bumps were probably due to fractures.i gave him showers daily, I hope starts eating again . Hope kidneys aren't all messed up, well thanx I will keep ya posted
I bought my meller as a 6 " baby, they sent me a 20" adult. Bumped up and eye closed. Wasn't eating or drinking. Took him to vet. They gave him 2 weeks meds - baytril and meloxicam. A week after he began to eat and drink. All of asudden he stopped eating and drinking. Eventually he drank and...
He might have gotten used to being hand fed so close. Try cup feeding. Use a Decent size container. Cut a section out so your chameleon has a good visual. Place a screen in container and crickets will climb on. Place a limb in front of the container. Your chameleon can approach container from...
I finally got 'em to drink!!! I agree that the less moving him around the better. I just wanted to get him properly hydrated. So when he was in the shower I held a big leaf over him and let the water trickle down on his mouth. It took awhile but he drank. He defiantly got his fill that's for...
His number 2's don't look right. Liquidy and runny. But the roaches exosketon was Almost completely intact. May be digestive pronlemsI've tried feeding him horn worms he don't even look at them . But he ate a few Dubai from my hand and couPle crickets from a cup. I plan on taking him to the vet...
After giving my meller a shower almost every day since I had him which is 3.5 weeks , I only witnessed him drink mayb once or twice. He ate twice but now he won't eat or drink. I've tried numerous things, he won't drink. Does anybody know any tricks to stimulate drinking. Any help would be great.
I wouldn't worry to much. My nosey be cut back on his eating once he reached that age. Now he eats every other day. Mostly horn worms, but also crickets and roaches And sometimes he won't eat for a few days. Try something green like a small mantis. One time I fed my chameleon a walking leaf and...
You can use marine epoxy. It is non toxic because they use it on boats. I made a 500 gal fish tank out of plywood. So basically a huge ply wood box with a acrylic glass front. I painted all wood surfaces with marine epoxy and it worked great. It is a 2 part mix and they have a variety of...
I also want to upgrade my lighting. Currently I have a 5.0 reptisun that is a bulb. What's better a tube style lighting or screw in bulb . I want a top notch system, any advice??
I'm looking to buy a high quality misting system. Anyone recommend anything. I have a melleri chameleon who is doing well by the way. I hand spray mist him and shower him but I wan a upgrade my enclosure with a sprayer that that will mist for about hour. I plan on installing a drain and run pipe...
I think he may be getting bored of them, I was thinking about try silk worms or mantids to stimulate his appetite. Horned worms have a high nutritional value and are high in everything including protein, calcium and water. That's all he ever wants. I think it's the green color.
Not in a bad way. He is maturing and I don't think it's necessary to bomb him with vitamins everyday. He mainly eats horned worms and those keep him full longer.
