My female veild also does not like to be touched whatsoever and will bite, hiss, and run from someone. The only way to hold her and I have no idea why this works but if you put a sock on your hand then handle her she doesnt like it, but will tolerate being held. Bare hand is an absolute no go...

We put her the same cage as a male and she was not aggressive towards him in any way so Im guessing she is not gravid after all, but receptive. Were putting her back in the males cage tonight and she is not digging around in the sand box shes staying up on the limbs in the cage.
