Like I said in my above post I killed off three hibiscus before realizing that I needed a 6500k bulb. I currently use a cfl version but you can also get them in a linear tube version , which is what I plan on doing soon. They are important especially if your cage isn't going to get a lot of...
I currently have a 6500k light going in the old cage which will be transferred to the new cage so that will help a ton. I agree with you crazychamzoo I don't like the look of fake plant but as of now I don't have much choice til the pothos grows in ...also I have gone through three hibiscus...
I guess I could always add more pothos if needed. I do have some fake leaves for the meantime so that should fill in some of the dead spots. Anyone else have thoughts?
I have a couple that I am taking from his old cage, I am working on some sticks from the outside to create some pathways, I guess my biggest concern is having a lot of empty space. And I'm not too sure how much the pothos will fill up.
So I just purchased a 2x2x4 cage for my chameleon to upgrade from his 18x18x36 cage. I am having an extreme amount of trouble trying to come up with something to fill out the cage as the cage is so much bigger than my current setup. I have two pothos in early stages on magnetic planters on the...
I buy gallons of Distilled Water from the supermarket for like 80 or 90 cents a gallon, I use it in my mister and I haven't seen a mineral deposit or any clogging in my mister. And since it is DI water you know it doesn't have anything that will possible hurt your chameleon.
For my setup at home I made a stand out of pvc pipe that raised the cage up enough to fit a bucket underneath it and then drilled holes in the bottom of the cage right above where the bucket is. I don't know if this is possible for you or not. Then I sat the entire setup , cage and stand on top...

I have had my chameleon for the good part of 4 months and he is very dark always. No matter if I have the proper temperature , humidity everything seems to be in check. I just can't figure out why he is always so dark. I'll post a picture of him below and maybe someone can give me some insight...
Have you had any duds yet? With my first batch that I bred I swear half of the cocoons had dead worms in them or they just didn't emerge. I have several batches of eggs ready to go with mine. Just watching for them to hatch.
Thanks everyone. I am starting to feel better about this. I was really worried. I am changing his supplement schedule and will be doing calcium without d3 everyday as soon as I get it. I cannot believe that all the local pet stores in my area only carry supplements with d3 in them. You think...
That makes sense. I realize that the D3 would not cause the MBD, I was just worried that by not using calcium everyday that it could cause some issues.
So after looking around the forums today I was reading some posts about supplements and realized that the information that I was told by the people at the pet store is wrong about how I should be dusting my feeders. I have been using calcium with d3 this whole time not realizing that I should...
I think I have a solution that will work and I won't have to order anything.

Also side question. I have a dual bulb system going right now with this fixture ...
Purchased a large cage for him today, as I was putting it together and thought came to me about the misting system i have. What is the best ways to keep the water from leaking from the bottom? Seeing as there is only that white piece of plastic that is no where near water tight.
