Sanababit: Veiled, 3 years old, about 20 eggs this time, but much more normally, and no, I do not breed her. She stays alone.
And jannb, right now I've taken her to a vet named Dr. Dunning in Morganton, NC. That's where I got her current medicine from. She was on Carnivore care for MBD and a...
Hi, I was curious if anyone has any suggestions about a chameleon laying batches of eggs several times a year. My chameleon lays 2-3 batches throughout the year, and it has caused MBD in her.
She just had another batch, and now she's really inactive. She seems to sit around a lot, sleep a...
Thanks everyone!
To address a few things:
- I plan on getting way more vines and things to climb on, so that's coming soon
- The door is a little off, yes, it kind of slanted after I put it on, haha, but it's no problem at all because if crickets get out of a feeding bowl I put them in...
Hi All,
I just completed the build on my new cage. I designed it to house all components (such as misting water reservoir, motor, electrical components, food, other items needing storage.
I also built it in a modular fashion, with 4 removable sections, for ease of movement and...
Hi all, I found some really good deals on "Pothos" plants at Home Depot. What I'm confused about is that I know "Golden Pothos" is a safe plant for chameleons, but this plant is just labeled "Pothos".
I'm pretty sure the plant is safe but I wanted to run it by you guys and see what anyone...
I got the same stuff that this guy posted a pic of. Thanks for the comments, I totally stayed away from galvanized anything. I must be blind though, I so no aluminum anything. Must be in a different section.
Hi all,
I made this thread in hopes that we discuss what the best kind of mesh is to use when building a new cage. Here are some things to consider below:
Metal vs Plastic
Size of the grid (don't want cham to get little nails stucks and hurt him/herself)
Waterproof (metals that don't...
Hello everyone, quick question: let's say a cage size is 2' x 2' x 4' or something, it doesn't matter really. Does anyone have hygrometers at multiple levels of their cage and get different reading or does humidity tend to be the same throughout the cage, from top to bottom?
Greetings all,
I'm in the process of researching and gathering information for a new cage build. I plan on having digital sensors for temperature and humidity. My question is where is the best place to take readings? Top, Bottom, Middle. Should I have multiple sensors spread out? I'm trying...
How does drainage work with all the water going in? And do the isopods and buggies help keep bad stuff from growing, like fruit flies? Can you really just let the cham poop fall to the bottom and break down, never having to remove manually?
Yeah, amazing set up! I'm personally really curious in addition to this guys question. What do you do about drainage and poop? Do you just go through every individual cage and collect all the urate/poop? I use to have a little fruit fly problem.
The swelling has went down, different pictures were sent. She's moving around more and the leg is much less swollen, so the doc said they'd see her on Monday.
FYI, the doctor replied and said he doesn't think it's swollen. He said that I can bring her Monday for radiography and he can decide what shell need from there. She might be able to keep her leg. He said that apart from her leg she appears healthy, shell be okay till Monday.. Just make sure she...
Too bad I've already done my research and there's NO ONE in all of North Carolina to help her. I've even tried personally contacting specialists on their personal phone numbers via people I know, and that person is not one but TWO hours away.
See? I'm trying to help her as best as I can, but...
