Is my new chameleon healthy? I am worried I am not doing things correctly.

I would get a Zoo Med or Arcadia linear 5.0 T5 UVB bulb.

    DIY Vines

I tried to make those but it turned out to be really really messy and not really worth the effort. I would suggest buying vines from the store unless you are going for a really naturalistic look. Mealworms are hard to digest and should not be used regularly, only as a treat every once in a while. Try some other ones like roaches, waxworms, silkworms, (more on the veiled care sheet). Paco (new chameleon)

Veiled chameleon can go a few weeks without eating but if he seems dehydrated or low energy then I would take him to the vet.

Would a bird cage be a viable option for housing a chameleon?

I see no reason why you couldn't use a bird cage. If it's big enough and you are ok with some feeders escaping then go for it!

    What heat bulb watt?

Try getting a higher wattage bulb and then moving the lamp farther away from the top of the cage. That way you'll get the temperature you're looking for.

    Paco (new chameleon)

Multivitamin every 2 weeks. For the humidity I recommend live plants and maybe some sphagnum moss or if you really want to get into it: an automatic mister. Also covering the sides of the cage with a shower curtain for example. Everything else looks good to me! Merry Christmas and...
