What kind of lamp fixture do you have? Raise it a bit higher so it won't touch the top of the cage and get a more powerful bulb so the temperature won't fall.
I got a sircular pot holder made from cork and I cut a hole in it so would hold up the hot edges of the lamp but still let light through. That way it won't touch the mesh and burn my cham.
I use a bird feeding cup that you can attach to the side of the cage but you should choose a cup that suits your setup. Make sure it's big enough so all the feeders won't just climb out. And make sure it's in a spot where it won't get filled up with water.
Most chameleons don't eat veggies. It's not bad if they don't want to eat them. Just make sure that your feeders have a diverse diet. Only vegetable my veiled has ever even tasted is cucumber.
^^This is good advice about the lights!
And regarding the misting, I mist 4 times a day plus once with a misting bottle. The amount of misting depends on the humidity in your cage so you have to figure out the optimal amount for your setup
Chameleons need long mistings in order to get proper hydration. My mister is set to mist between 2-5 minutes at a time and it won't flood my cage. Most of it evaporates and if it doesn't you should build a drainage system.
And about the light, make sure it's not too strong for your chams eyes...
