Yeah, I was thinking that. Hmmm. Maybe just fewer rocks to allow the moisture somewhere to go? I think it was because it was right below the fogger and was constantly wet. I moved it to the other side of the cage and it's better now.
My only concern was when it was getting a lot of moisture, the rocks on top of the soil were getting fuzzy. I don't know if this is mold or what... is there a better way to cover soil?
So i've, obviously, been seeing this little guy since he won this month every day, multiple times a day... and he just makes me so happy every time i see him!! HE'S PRECIOUS!!:love::love:
But pothos don't need a whole lot of water either, right? I don't want to drown them! lol
I spray his cage so much every morning and evening because that's all he gets! I love making it like a rain shower, he reacts so adorably!
Holy cow!!:eek: What a lucky guy!! You sound like one of those guys who just "Whips up" a generator with a paperclip, a piece of gum, and a pine cone when the power goes out! :ROFLMAO:
Hey y'all!
I currently have a pothos, mainly for greenery and humidity, it's not super large so I can't play with the vines yet, but it's doing well because it's in the bottom and back of the enclosure and doesn't get the direct 'rain' the hibiscus gets... which is currently, apparently...
I have a small pothos at the bottom mainly just for humidity and to let it grow and a larger hibiscus (which is hopefully about to bloom!! :) ) I also bought these rocks that i put around the plant on top of the soil so Leif doesn't try anything with the dirt
We have just removed the bottom of our cage and placed it on a screen suspended above a Tupperware container to catch the water. we just dump it every few days.
Much more coverage. Your cham needs to be able to hide. My cham has found this perfect spot (and he knows it) that we can not see him from any angle. lol
Live plants are ideal, they hold humidity best.
This has totally piqued my interest in figuring out how to set up a rain system. I'm thinking just jerry-rigging my pressure pump sprayer into a container with a hole in it and a rubber band around the trigger... hmmm...
