I got my baby chameleon 3 months ago and everyone talks about how fast they grow at this age but mine hasn’t seemed to grow much, if any. I got him from petco and he was doing great, eating and drinking like normal until just this week he hasn’t been eating much and appears dehydrated, he also...
it’s a 16x16x30
I would like to do something simple that i could build easily since i will be upgrading cages when he grows, and will have to build a new drainage system anyways
Hey there,
I’ve had my cham for around 2 months and have just been using paper towels for the bottom of the enclosure. I was wondering if anyone has simple ideas for good drainage. The paper towels don’t work very well and can start smelling funky after a few days. i was thinking if attaching...
yeah they grow super fast! i’ve been offering them to him daily but still no interest so i’ve been giving some to my axolotle who appreciates them way more than the cham
i just ordered the 24 count from rainbow meal worms for my jouvenile veiled as well. the cost w/ shipping came out to be around $15. also you can specify what size you want if your cham is still small, all my worms came in alive and the perfect size although my cham hasn’t been interested in...
Yes, definetly very dehydrated:( I would increase the amount of times you mist. also make sure your misting for atleast 2 minutes each time to make sure she’s getting enough water. good luck!
To get him to drink be very consistent with misting and make sure there is plenty of water on the leaves. I would say to try the shower method but he is probably very stressed with the new environment so that wouldn’t help much.
Another thing to add is that the basking temp is way too hot for a baby which is probably why he doesn’t bask much. the basking spot should be around 85 until he’s a little older
Based on the open eye, he appears to be pretty dehydrated (you can tell this by the sunken in eye) you should try the shower method to help hydrate him and hopefully let him clean out his eyes. You can do this by spraying the shower head against the wall and holding your cham next to it so the...
