I was at my local hardware store and saw that they are selling praying mantis egg cocoon things. Would these mantises be ok for my chams to eat when they hatch? Are they different? Are they cham safe since they from a hardware store vs. Reptile food sites?
I think you need to reread @bemans comments. She is trying to give you info. Please don't be so defensive, as nothing was negative towards you personally.
First, I'm sorry for the loss of your cham. Second, quit being so defensive and rude to the ppl who have taken time to try to help you. They really, really are able to help and their knowledge is invaluable. You posted to get help and feedback. Please be open to it .
Welcome! I can't say enough about the ppl here and the great info and knowledge they are willing to share and help others. Make sure u do homework first, prepare the enclosure spot on, then choose ur cham. (I was one of those ppl who thought I was doing good until I learned here.). Anyways...
I have dogs, cats, guinnea pigs, birds, and 2 chams. (Chams have their own bedroom). My cats do not bother or pay any attention to any of the cages/enclosures. I NEVER have the chams, piggies, or birds out of their cages if the cat is hanging out. A cat is a cat and it only takes a split...
Never have standing water. Lifted up the enclosure with dollar store wire baskets (my next deep clean, I will raise it higher bc of the service door,). Ziptie ceiling grates to baskets. Cut hole in table for drain pipe.
I purchased a similar pan. I dumped it bc I was not happy with it. I ended up buying a real shower pan and installed it to sit on the table stand. Lifted the enclosure with ceiling grate and wire baskets (the pan was a little deep). I love it. Works fantastic for drainage.
